Services and Specialist Areas
Our expertise is in helping people to explore and address the underlying issues that result in illness, distress, conflict and pain: not just the symptoms. We deliver services with your long-term health and happiness at the forefront of our minds.
Our service model combines medical care, mental health and allied health under one roof to help our patients achieve a healthier mind and body.
Your health needs change over the course of your life, so it may make sense for you and your family to choose a healthcare provider that offers treatment for a broad range of health conditions, including problematic substance use.
Treatment to improve mental health
We want to help you live the best possible life. You may be predisposed to certain conditions, or be affected by specific events or day-to-day stressors in ways you are not equipped to deal with alone. Sometimes we feel dissatisfied, unhappy, anxious, lost and sad even if there seems to be no reason.
Research shows that 45 percent of Australians will experience a mental health condition in their lifetime; around 1 million Australian adults have depression and more than 2 million have anxiety; and almost eight Australians take their own lives each day.
Taking care of your emotional and mental wellbeing is just as important as your physical health: and the two are interconnected. Our health centre offers effective, evidence-informed treatment.
Lives Lived Well’s practitioners are committed to helping people with a wide range of mental health, mood or personality disorders – such as:
- Depression and low mood
- Bipolar disorder (manic depression)

Treatment for alcohol and drug addiction
Lives Lived Well are experts in supporting people with an addiction to drugs, alcohol or gambling. Our specialist centre brings together doctors and medical health professionals who share our desire to create a non-judgemental space where people can overcome addictive behaviours by addressing underlying emotional or mental health issues.
About 5% of Australians will experience substance abuse disorders in any 12-month period, with men more than twice as likely as women to have substance abuse disorders.
We truly understand how to provide integrated support to people with complex needs and a dual diagnosis (people that have both an addiction and a mental health disorder).
We can support people who:
- Want to reduce or stop their drinking or drug-taking behaviour

- Need tailored attention to manage complex needs or a dual diagnosis

Counselling for children and young people
The evidence shows that often mental health disorders emerge during teenage years and adolescence. Alarmingly, suicide accounts for the death of more young people than car accidents.
When children and young people are not acting the way they normally do, or display behaviours that are negatively affecting their family, friendships, schooling or work life, they may need the support of a health professional.
The team at Lives Lived Well Specialist Centre includes psychologists with experience working with children, teens and young adults up to 25 years old. We listen without being judgemental: our qualified therapists will support your child to express their feelings and thoughts and develop helpful strategies.
Our expert team of practitioners can help children and young people experiencing:
- Depression, anxiety, low mood
- Personality disorders
- Anorexia, bulimia and other eating disorders
- Bullying, violence and discrimination
- Self-harm and self-injury
- Low self-esteem
